Now hiring limited part-time, seasonal positions from March through October

Seasonal: May - October 2026

Shifts: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:30-6:30pm

Hourly: $15.00 / hour

The applicant should be able to demonstrate quality customer service and cashier experience or skillsets

Responsibilities:

Set up and take down of canopy, tables, and chairs
Display and restock products
Positively engage with customers on the following
- Pricing questions
- Produce variety types
- Background of South Madison Farmers Market and Neighborhood Food Solutions, Inc.
Process cash/credit card sales and farmers market vouchers
At times, you may be asked to load & transport equipment, supplies and products to and from farm

Requirements:

Seasonal: May - October 2026

Shifts: 20-40 hours based on needs of the week. Can discuss schedule

Hourly: $15.00 / hour

The applicant should be willing to work outside, learn how to grow food, and work independently on tasks as instructed by the farm manager

Responsibilities:

Assist in the collection, transportation and application of composted materials
Use farm tools to make raised beds, plant and harvest produce
Operate heavy equipment and vehicles for planting, harvesting and transportation activities
Mow, string-trim, hand removal and in some cases, application of organic herbicides to suppress weeds
Use sprinkler systems and watering wands to irrigate fields and potted plants
Organize and store farm supplies, tools and equipment
Organize and store produce, supplies and equipment for the South Madison Farmers Market
Communicate quality concerns of plants, market produce and equipment or tool malfunctions to the farm manager
Wash, clean, fuel and assist in minor repairs of infrastructure, vehicles, equipment and tools.
Perform other related work as assigned
